After you have completed the courses, a verification process will need to take place prior to you being able to schedule your State exam.  You will receive an instructional email once you have completed both Fundamentals and Practices courses.  Most applicants register online, but you may also register by phone or mail.  You can make an exam reservation by calling the testing service—AMP—toll-free at (800) 345-6559.  You may make your reservation online at www.goamp.com.  The reservation must be made at least one business day in advance of your test date.

  Monday – Thursday   5:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  Friday   5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Reservations are made according to the test site’s capacity and seating availability. AMP testing centers handle license applicants from a number of different fields and sometimes a testing center becomes congested. Two-week delays are not uncommon.

You’ll find the school and course information (including course title, completion date, and school stamp number) in your Candidate Examination Document, which is the certification that you’ll receive from your school when you’ve successfully completed your pre-license courses.

The Examination Fee

The first time you open your course, a “Before you get started” page appears. This page contains important information about the functionality of your course. Read this page carefully before you click the button that says “Click here to begin”. The key points discussed on this page are:

¨ Use the Back, Replay, and Next buttons located in the bottom right corner of your course window to navigate through the course. (Do not use the Back or Next buttons that appear on the top of the Internet browser.)

¨ Click the Main Menu button to log off the course properly.

¨ All quizzes are timed and your session will expire after 40 minutes.

¨ Final exams are timed. The time limit includes both the time you take to complete the exam and the time you spend reviewing the exam. Watch the clock that appears in the exam interface to see how much time you have left on each attempt.

¨ Normal courses must be completed within six months from the date you enroll. Time limits for community college courses are dictated by each college.

¨ If you do not navigate in your course (click the Next or Back button) for 15 minutes, your session will expire and you will need to re-log into the course.
